Join us for a celebration of the Holy Eucharist on Monday, November 2 at 6 p.m. as we commemorate All Souls’ Day.
All Souls’ Day is closely connected to the Feast of All Saints, celebrated on November 1. On All Saints’ Day, we commemorate the heroes of the faith whose particular sanctity and witness to Christ have been recognized by the Church. On All Souls’ Day, we remember and pray for all the faithful departed who, though no less a part of the Communion of Saints, are not recognized in the same way.
All Souls’ Day is a more personal day of remembrance and grief, set aside in a particular way to remember our departed family members and friends. It is an opportunity to give thanks for their lives, to entrust them once again to the mercy of God, and to remember that death does not have the final word.
You are invited to bring a photo of a departed loved one to the church for this Eucharist. As we pray for them and remember their lives, we are reminded that even now, though separated by death, we remain united with them in the Body of Christ.
