Vestry Minutes
August 9, 2026
Attendees: Fr David Wilcox, Steve Hirtzel, Paul Patrick, Kim Gerhardt, Linda Wallace, Gabriel Sparks, Chris Butler
Call to Order: The meeting was called to order at 12:01 PM by Fr David.
Bible Study: The Vestry began with prayer and a Bible study of Acts 2:42-47, Life among the Believers.
Previous Minutes: The May and Special Meeting minutes were approved with no changes.
Rector’s Report:
- Year to Date Average Sunday Attendance is 54.
- 2 new members.
- Attended the Lake Mary Center convocation.
- Met with Rebeccah to plan music.
- Full access to our social media accounts.
- The sacristy was cleaned.
- Realm transition has begun.
- Scott Laurent completed his studies in spiritual direction.
- Diocese clergy gathered at St Mary Magdalene for fellowship.
- Stewardship and Bylaw committees both met.
Senior Warden’s Report:
- Youth group will meet every other month.
- Over 100 lbs of produce have been donated.
Financial Report:
- Prepping for the audit on August 20th
- Discussed balances of accounts
Junior Warden’s Report:
- HVAC and door repairs completed.
- Continuing to work on internet.
- Discussed camera placement.
- Discussed resealing the parking lot.
Old Business:
- Discussed sign replacement.
- Phone transition completed.
New Business:
- Bylaw revisions were provided
- Stewardship timeline and budget walkthrough.
- Discernment committee selected.
- Parish picnic scheduled for October 11 (bishop’s visit).
- Trunk or Treat will be expanded and held Friday evening October 30.
- Wedding Fee revision was deemed unfeasible at this time.
- Space use agreement was approved.
