Opportunities to Serve: Being the Hand’s of Jesus in the World

We are continuously inspired by the generosity of our community and the opportunities we have to make a difference. In addition to our ongoing partnership with KC for Refugees, we are also excited to support Heart-N-Hand Ministries, a local organization here in Belton that serves the homeless and individuals in need of a “hand up.”

KC for Refugees: Urgent Needs

A few years ago, we opened the basement of the House of Grace to KC for Refugees, an organization that provides essential support to newly-arrived refugees from war-torn countries. They are in urgent need of replenishing their Welcome Closet for the refugees arriving weekly in the Kansas City Metro area. The following items are critical for the refugees as they start their new lives:

Needed Donations for KC for Refugees:

Towels and blankets

Small kitchen appliances (rice cookers, electric tea pots, pressure cookers, etc.)

Dishes, silverware, and pots and pans (the bigger, the better!)

Diapers (of all sizes)

Sheets (twin and queen size)

Hygiene and cleaning kits

Socks and underwear (for children and adults)

Maxi pads

You can drop off donations at the House of Grace basement, on Thursdays from 9am-11am.
