Daughters of the King:
Putting Faith into Action
On Saturday, April 26th The Daughters of the King hosted their Fall Assembly here at St. Mary Mag. This was an opportunity for Daughters from across the Diocese to come together for prayer, fellowship, and education as well as a business meeting.
The Order of the Daughters of the King is an order for women who are communicants of the Episcopal Church. Reaffirming the promises made at Baptism and Confirmation, a Daughter pledges herself to a life-long program of prayer, service and evangelism. Empowered by the Holy Spirit, our vision as Daughters of the King is to know Jesus Christ, to make Him known to others, and to become reflections of God’s love throughout the world.
The Daughters of the King meet monthly on the third Sunday of the month in the Education Room right after church. If you’re interested in joining, please contact Cyndi Troyer for more information. The Chapter at St. Mary Magdalene regularly serves meals at Heart-n-Hand and KC Hospice House and are always happy to have church members join them in service to the community.
They look forward to seeing you at these events and hope you’ll consider volunteering to help us continue our mission of service and support to those in need.
