Daughters of the King:
Putting Faith into Action

We are excited to share the wonderful ways Daughters of the King is making a difference in our local community this month!

On Thursday, March 13th, Daughters provided and served lunch to the homeless at Heart-n-Hand right here in Belton. It’s a powerful opportunity to give back, and about 100 people were served at this event. Volunteer opportunities for upcoming meals include both meal contributions and/or helping with setup and serving at Heart-n-Hand on Thursdays. If you’re interested in volunteering or would like more details, please reach out to Linda Wallace at 816-520-2342.

Looking ahead, on Monday, March 31st, Daughters will be providing and serving dinner to the staff and visitors at Hospice House on Wornall Road in Kansas City, MO. This event serves 20-30 people, and volunteer opportunities include meal contributions (which can be dropped off at St. Mary’s on the Sunday before) and/or helping set up and serve at the House on Monday evening. To volunteer or learn more, please contact Kim Gerhardt at 913-515-7599.

Daughters of the King also meets monthly on the third Sunday of the month in the Education Room right after church. If you’re interested in joining, please contact Cyndi Troyer for more information.

We look forward to seeing you at these events and hope you’ll consider volunteering to help us continue our mission of service and support to those in need.
