Kristi Seaton is a postulant for Holy Orders in the Episcopal Church and is currently pursuing her Master of Divinity and an Anglican Studies Diploma at Bexley Seabury. As part of that formation, she will be joining this community for field education over the next two years. Raised and formed in a Wesleyan Holiness tradition, Kristi brings to ministry a deep love for God, a heart for pastoral care, and a longstanding commitment to welcome, belonging, and faithful service.

Kristi is a former member of the Nazarene denomination and a graduate of Nazarene Theological Seminary, where she earned her Master of Arts in Theological Studies, graduated magna cum laude, and received the Heart of the Servant Award. She also contributed to Why the Church of the Nazarene Should Be Fully LGBTQ+ Affirming, an Amazon bestselling book that reflects her commitment to a more just, compassionate, and inclusive church. Open and Relational theology profoundly shapes her pastoral identity, informing her understanding of God, community, and the sacred work of accompaniment.

In addition to her studies, Kristi serves as a chaplain resident at St. Luke’s Plaza. She is also a devoted member of St. Mary’s Episcopal, where she served on the vestry for several years and coordinated the Dinner for Eight Supper Club, helping to create organic spaces for fellowship, the breaking of bread, connection, and community.

Kristi and her husband, Kent Seaton, have been married for 14 years. She is a mother to a blended family and also a former foster parent who spent six years caring for LGBTQIA teenagers and young adults, a role that reflects her vocation of presence, advocacy, and love. In her free time, she enjoys reading, cooking, walking, and watching movies.

Kristi will begin her two-year placement at St. Mary Magdalene in August.
