Sunday Morning Fellowship

Life today moves quickly. We juggle work, family, responsibilities, and relationships across many different places and schedules. In the midst of all that motion, time spent in genuine community matters.

At St. Mary Magdalene, one of the ways we intentionally nurture that community is through Sunday morning fellowship, often called “coffee hour,” held immediately following our worship service. There is usually coffee (and more than just coffee), but the heart of the gathering is not what’s on the table. It’s the chance to pause, take a breath, and share conversation and life with one another.

This time together is marked by warmth, laughter, and connection. For many, lingering a few extra minutes before heading on to the rest of the day becomes a meaningful part of Sunday—a simple but joyful expression of our shared life.

Families are especially welcome. Children often play together while adults visit, making this a relaxed and natural space for all ages to build relationships and feel at home.

Sunday morning fellowship is open to everyone, whether you are new to the parish or have been here for years. We invite you and your family to stay, join the conversation, and be part of our life together.

Fellowship Events

Life is meant to be lived and enjoyed, and the life of the Church should reflect that joy.

At St. Mary Magdalene, fellowship extends well beyond Sunday morning. Throughout the year, we gather in a variety of ways to share meals, celebrate seasons, and enjoy one another’s company. From parish picnics and summer barbecues to festive gatherings like our Mardi Gras breakfast, these moments create space to relax, laugh, and strengthen the relationships that shape our common life.

We also host quarterly newcomer gatherings, offering a welcoming and informal way to meet others, ask questions, and begin to find a place within the parish community.

A highlight for many is God & Guinness, our monthly gathering at a local pub. This is a relaxed, thoughtful, and fun evening where conversation flows easily and faith is explored in an approachable, down-to-earth setting. Whether the discussion is deep or lighthearted, God & Guinness offers a meaningful opportunity to connect with others and reflect on faith in the midst of everyday life.

All of these gatherings are open and welcoming. Whether you are new to the church or have been part of the community for years, we invite you to join us as we enjoy the gift of life together.
